Marine Grade Plywood BS1088
Our Premium Marine Grade Plywood, manufactured to British Standard BS1088, is crafted from sustainable mixed hardwood species. Perfect for demanding marine environments and more, it is ideal for applications that require high impact resistance and for projects requiring top-quality finishes, offering durability and resilience. The colour varies from light pink to dark red due to the use of multiple hardwood species, so colour matching may be challenging.
Austral CrocPly Marine Grade Plywood
Austral CrocPly is designed for the most demanding floor applications. CrocPly is made using Araucaria (hoop pine) plywood overlaid with a hard wearing, waterproof and slip resistant film. CrocPly’s marine grade plywood core is certified to Australian standard AS/NZS 2272. Perfect for: truck & trailer decking; vehicle floors; scaffolding; pedestrian platforms; stair treads; ship decking; stage platforms.
Austral Marine Grade Hoop Pine Plywood
Marine plywood manufactured to the Australian standard AS/NZS 2272 is regarded as the highest plywood grade available. Marine plywood conforming to the standard uses only “A” grade veneers from a designated marine species (i.e. Araucaria – hoop pine) and have an “A” bond glue system, sometimes referred to as WBP (water boil proof). Austral ‘O’ grade marine plywood (AS/NZS 2272) is also available and recommended as a cost effective solution for applications where the aesthetic of the face veneers is not critical, such as applications where the plywood is overlaid, painted or fibre glassed. Austral Plywoods is the only manufacturer of marine plywood that complies with Australian standard AS/NZS 2272 .
